Dumisani delivers the last load of material
for the first compost pile. Dumi is a student at the University of
KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and this is part of his final year dissertation project
under Dr Cristina Trois. |
Second smaller pile comprising pine bark,
stable sweeping and chicken manure. The DAT works by drawing oxygen through
the pile and heat exiting via the chimney thus eliminating the need to turn
the pile. |
