Dumisani delivers the last load of material for the first compost pile. Dumi is a student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and this is part of his final year dissertation project under Dr Cristina Trois.

Second smaller pile comprising pine bark, stable sweeping and chicken manure. The DAT works by drawing oxygen through the pile and heat exiting via the chimney thus eliminating the need to turn the pile.

The digital still and video cameras mounted on a custom built bracket on the Cessna 172. The Bateleurs (a non profit group of pilots and planes) covered the cost of the mission and provided a plane and pilot (Thanks Barry!)
